Thank you for joining us at our 2026 Street Smarts Community Bike Festival on Saturday, September 12, 2026!

🚴 All participants enjoyed a FREE, Fun-Filled Family Bike & Pedestrian Safety Event!

Thanks to the amazing support from our community, our annual Street Smarts Community Bike Festival was a huge success! 

Families and friends enjoyed a day of fun, learning, and community connection. Children and families built lifelong bicycle-handling skills, learned practical pedestrian safety tips, and gained confidence riding and walking safely in a fun, safe, and organized environment.

Whether riding a bike, using a scooter, or simply walking, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Several prizes were awarded and announced by elected officials the end of the event. Participants did not need to be present to win.

Attendees:

• Tested their bike-handling skills on the Safety Bike Skills Course.
• Learned how to properly fit a helmet with guidance from local Police Department officers.
• Learned essential bicycle and pedestrian safety skills from local bike clubs and community organizations.
• Visited the Air Maintenance Station to check and inflate bicycle tires.
• Met local Police Department officers and learned more about community safety.
• Learned hands-only CPR from the local Fire Department.
• Enjoyed live music from a local band – Andromeda.
• Enjoyed complimentary face painting by San Ramon Volunteers and henna tattoos by Arty Crafty Mom.
• Enjoyed frozen yogurt from Menchie’s in San Ramon.
• Participated in crafts, games, and activities for the whole family.
• Completed the festival map game and received a participation prize.
• Rode their bikes to the festival and used complimentary bicycle parking.
• Received great prizes from our event partners, with a few lucky students also winning additional door prizes.
