2026 Street Smarts Community Bike Festival

🚴 Enjoy a FREE, Fun-Filled Family Bike & Pedestrian Safety Event!

No Pre-Registration Required! Come Learn, Practice, and Enjoy Bike Safety anytime between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM!

No bike? No problem! Enjoy activities, games, prizes, entertainment, and safety demonstrations. Everyone is welcome!

Thanks to the amazing support from our community, our annual Street Smarts Community Bike Festival is back!

Bring your family and friends for a day of fun, learning, and community connection. Children and families will build lifelong bicycle handling skills, learn practical pedestrian safety tips, and gain confidence riding and walking safely, all in a fun, safe, and organized environment.

Whether you’re riding a bike, using a scooter, or simply walking, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Several prizes will be awarded and announced by Elected Officials at 12:45 PM. You don’t have to be present to win. 

IF PARTICIPATING IN THE BIKE/SCOOTER OBSTACLE COURSE:
  1. PRINT, FILL OUT, AND BRING THIS PARTICIPANT RELEASE FOR EACH CHILD PARTICIPANT;
  2. PARTICIPANTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN SCOOTER OR BIKE AND HELMET;
  3. BRING COMPLETED WAIVER TO CHECK-IN TABLE FOR OBSTACLE COURSE. (EXTRA COPIES WILL BE AVAILABLE AT EVENT).
  4. NO E-SCOOTERS, E-BIKES, OR SKATEBOARDS WILL BE ALLOWED ON COURSE OR AT THE EVENT.

More Event Highlights

✅ Put your bike-handling skills to the test on our Safety Bike Skills Course! Bikes and helmets are required. The course is designed for children ages 3–12. E-bikes and E-scooters are not permitted on the course.

🧠 Learn how to properly fit a helmet with guidance from your local Police Department officers.

🚦 Discover essential bike and pedestrian safety skills from local bike clubs and community organizations.

🚲 Stop by the Air Maintenance Station to check and inflate your bike tires before exploring the bike course.

🚴 Ride your bike to the festival! Complimentary bike parking will be available while your family enjoys the event.

🚔 Meet your local Police Department officers and learn more about community safety.

❤️ Learn hands-only CPR from your local Fire Department.

🎵 Enjoy and dance to live music from a local band.

🎨 Complimentary face painting for children. Henna tattoos also available.

🥣 Frozen yogurt available from Menchie’s, in San Ramon.

🎨 Crafts, games, and activities for the whole family.

🍎 Children under 12 who complete the fun festival map game will receive a participation prize.
