The Annual Street Smarts "Be Reel!" Video Contest encourages middle school students from throughout the San Ramon Valley to create 60-second public service announcement (PSA) videos about traffic safety.

Each fall and spring, two traffic safety themes are announced, and students create the traffic safety video for the corresponding theme. The fall and spring submissions are judged each year in April. Approximately ten videos are selected as finalists and make it to the Danville International Children's Film Festival.

The 2011-2012 "Be Reel" Video Contest Premiere and Awards Ceremony will be held on May 24, 2012
