Children's Storybook Contest begins in San Ramon Valley. more
Giving traffic safety the green light.
In 2004, local agencies, businesses and the community joined forces to launch Street Smarts, a regional public education campaign in the San Ramon Valley.
The goal of the Street Smarts campaign is to educate drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians on issues related to traffic safety. Since its inception, Street Smarts has been effectively providing traffic safety education in the valley, through programs such as the Annual Street Smarts Storybook-Poster Contest, "Be Reel!" Video Contest, "It Happens" teen driving program, and other initiatives.
